Introducing your Trustee Team…

Kevin O’Neill
(Chair of the Trustee Board) Company Appointed Trustee Director
Kevin O’Neill
My name is Kevin O’Neill. I am an in-service deferred member of the GE HealthCare Pension Plan (the Plan). I’m Chair of Trustee and a Company Nominated Director, appointed in August 2022 in preparation for the transfer of members from the GE Pension Plan.
I’m the President & CEO of GE HealthCare’s global Pharmaceutical Diagnostics business and have over 25 years’ experience with GE. My background is finance and I’m a Fellow of the Charted Institute of Management Accountants. I have a particular interest in reducing the risk of the Plan and enhancing the overall security of members' benefits.

Bryan Falato
Company Appointed Trustee Director
Bryan Falato
My name is Bryan Falato. I am a fully credentialed actuary in the United States and I’m an employer appointed director.
While I am new a Trustee, I have significant pension scheme experience in the actuarial, investment, and administration areas. I also service as a Trustee for two other pension schemes in Europe and Canada.
I have always had a participant first thought process so becoming a trustee allows me to use my skillset for this purpose. In addition, having Trustee experiences from multiple schemes allows me to bring best practices, different ideas, and recommended solutions to multiple schemes.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. In addition, I enjoy coaching my kids in both American football and baseball and am actively involved in their education as I sit on our school’s advisory council.

Scott Hodgson
Company Appointed Trustee Director
Scott Hodgson
My name is Scott and I’m an In-service deferred member of the plan. I have been a Company Nominated Director (CND) since 2020, previously serving on the board of the GE Pension Plan.
I originally applied to join the Trustee as I was conscious that I knew nothing about pensions. It seemed a great opportunity to learn and to be part of a great team. It’s the diversity of the Board members that makes us effective so never feel that you need to be a pensions or finance expert to join!
My career has always revolved around serving our customers, so chairing the Administrations, Benefits & Communications (ABC) committee has allowed me to provide the same service to our members.
Outside of work my time is taken looking after my family. My children are 26, 15 and 7 so I do like a challenge at home as well as at work! I’m lucky enough to live next to some wonderful woodland so love walking there with our Pug dog as my way of relaxing.

Ilse Livett
Company Appointed Trustee Director
Ilse Livett
My name is Ilse Livett, and I joined the Trustee Board in February 2025 as a Company-Nominated Director (CND). I’ve been with GE HealthCare for two years as an Internal Audit Executive. I bring prior experience as a CND and have a background in pensions and insurance.
I’m very excited about sharing my prior experience with the rest of the team and learning from the wider Trustee Board about the Plan, so we can best serve our members as a diverse team.
Outside of work, I spend my time looking after my young family and enjoy hiking and challenging myself with mountaineering adventures. I’ve had the incredible experience of hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and reaching Everest Base Camp.

Martin Wilkinson
Member Nominated Trustee Director
Martin Wilkinson
My name is Martin Wilkinson. I was appointed as Treasurer of Amersham International plc in 1997 and joined the Board of the Amersham Pension Scheme (APS) at that time.
When the APS merged into the GE Pension Plan I joined the GEPP Board and Chaired the GE Common Investment Fund from 2012 to 2018. In 2019 I joined the GE HealthCare Pension Plan Board as a member nominated Trustee in readiness for the separation of the HealthCare business from the rest of GE and creation of the GE HealthCare Pension Plan.
My primary focus and interest has always been the financial security of the Pension promises made to you our members. It is gratifying to see how the focus has moved from securing cash flows from the Company and seeking high returns for investments to protecting the healthy financial security which backs your Pensions today.
On a personal level, I was able to retire in 2019, and now live in Cornwall, where my wife and I enjoy getting out and about in the beautiful countryside walking the dogs and tend our overgrown garden.

Mike Chappelle
Member Nominated Trustee Director
Mike Chappelle
Hello, my name is Mike. I am a pensioner member of the GEHPP, having taken my pension when I reached age 60.
Shortly after that birthday, I saw an opportunity on the then-GE Pension Plan (GEPP) website to apply to join the Trustee Talent Pool (TTP) of the Pension scheme as a member-nominated participant. This looked like a great opportunity to keep my brain active and become involved with the running of the scheme, so I applied and was delighted to be accepted. Having spent my working life in the scientific field, I had no prior experience of working in pensions, so I’ve been on a steep but very enjoyable learning curve. Supported by the other members of the Team, I feel that I’ve been able to make a real and valuable contribution to the Team.
I recently took the opportunity of applying to become a Member Nominated Trustee Director, and I was delighted to be chosen for this position. I look forward to using the knowledge and experience that I have gained in the TTP to best support the running of the Pension Plan.
Retired life is very busy – as well as working on the Pension Plan, I volunteer as a Park Ranger at a local National Trust property, enjoying working outside after a life in labs and offices. I love the outdoors and try to keep fit by walking the beautiful South Wales mountains, coast and countryside.
As well as using my own pension to fit in as many holidays as possible further afield, with my family, in Europe and beyond!

Gary Reading
Member Nominated Trustee Director
Gary Reading
Hi, my name is Gary Reading. I am a retiree of the GEHPP having taken the opportunity to retire recently in May 2025 at 57. Shortly before my retirement I saw the role of Member Nominated Trustee Director (MNTD) advertised in the latest pension publication. I took the opportunity to apply as I have always had an interest in pensions for my own personal retirement goals.
During my near 37-year career at GE HealthCare I have held several roles but predominately over the last two decades dedicated to the IT functions as a Business Analyst for the Compliance and Standards function supporting Change Management and Test Management for SAP projects. This was a role that allowed me to travel the globe as we rolled out the SAP ERP System.
Alongside this I was part of the Employee Consultation Committee when the GE Pension Plan was closing to future accrual. This involved communicating with employees and representing their concerns to the company during this period. Post the closure I was enrolled on to the Pension Pioneers team supporting local employees with the process of taking their pension benefits and completing the forms required by the Plan administrator. However, it’s important to say that this not an advising role as I was not IFA and FCA accredited.
In my personal life I have four children and five grandchildren aging from 21 to 4 years old that keep me busy. I have just celebrated with my wife Jo our 25th, Silver Wedding anniversary. Additional to working for GE HealthCare, I have owned my own business of a tattoo studio since 2015 so when I am not travelling or acting as a MNTD I will be in the studio tattooing people. I have had a passion for tattoos since I was 16. Strangely enough, as a highly regulated and compliant industry there are many cross over skills to the pensions world from a documentation and process prospective.

Alan King
Trustee Talent Pool
Alan King
Hi, my name is Alan King. I am an in-service deferred member of the Fund and I have been in the Trustee Talent Pool (TTP) for almost three years, starting out as a TTP on the GEPP Trustee Board and transferred to The GEHPP when it was set up at the end of 2022.
After being with GE for 28 years, working with a lot of amazing people, I put my name forward to join the TTP to learn more about becoming a Trustee and to use the wealth of experience GE has given me to assist the Trustee Board with its decision-making.
My background is in risk management and analytics, so I am interested in the governance around decision making, as well as the performance of the pension portfolio. I believe that it is important that our members have trust in the decision / actions being taken by the GEHPP Trustee Board and that their Pension is being invested wisely and will support them when they come to retire.
Having worked for GE in multiple countries it’s not surprising that I love to travel and meet new people from different cultures, but having a son who does cage fighting and a daughter who plays many musical instruments I’ve also been able to push my learning boundaries on many different fronts.
